Amateur Contact Log 5.4 & Contest Upgrades Now Available!

Home News

Hi All,

Amateur Contact Log 5.4 and upgrades for all the contesting software (except for the state QSO party programs - I still have those to finish) are now on the web site! As always, these upgrades are free to registered users!

Enhancements include:

- Added Application Program Interface (API) functionality (Settings > Application Program Interface).

- Added CW PTT to key linear amplifiers (Settings > Transmit > CW).

- Added ability to temporarily disable band and mode updates from rig interface (press Ctrl + Shift + R).

- Added audio alert of unworked or unconfirmed DX Spots, who are LoTW users in AC Log (press CTRL + Shift + L). Remember, to use this feature, please first set up the ID of LoTW users from AC Log's LoTW form.

- Modified contesting software Cabrillo file address label tags, in conformance with the latest Cabrillo specifications.

By far, the greatest emphasis (and largest amount of work) of this release has been the addition of the Application Program Interface (API) functionality. I often receive requests from folks who would like to interface their digital or logging programs with my logging software. To accommodate those requests, I have added easily implemented API functionality, to enable any other program to do just that!

This API provides a way for other programs to connect with my software, write data to N3FJP Software text boxes, read data from text boxes and call functions like Enter, Dupe check, etc. Now it is up to either the authors of those programs to write code to connect to my software directly, or for anyone to code the necessary bridge to complete the interface.

All the API related work I've done so far won't be evident until other software developers add this API in their software, so that they can connect to N3FJP Software. If you have a program that you would like to see interfaced with my software, please contact the developer now and refer them to this page!

This is an Adsense Advertisement, not a download link for my software.

And in response to the questions we always receive when we neglect to include the following in our e-mail announcements...

Package Upgrade Information...

If you have registered one or more individual programs and would like to upgrade to N3FJP's Software Package or N3FJP's Software Package and CD for full use of all our Amateur Radio software, we would be glad to apply the amount that you have registered so far as a credit towards that purchase. Please send us an e-mail directly and we'll let you know your balance.

N3FJP's Software Package includes nearly 90 programs for contesting, net management, general logging and other Amateur Radio related applications. In addition to full use of all these programs, registered package customers are also entitled to receive free passwords for any new software that is added to the package and free upgrades to existing programs. You'll find all the details on the Register Now page at

Donations are Gratefully Accepted!

And in response to the often asked question for which Kimberly and I are very grateful...

"I know your upgrades are free, but I also realize how much time and effort coding these enhancements and new programs take and that your pricing policy doesn't fully reflect that. Can I send you something to show my appreciation for your continued efforts?"

Yes, thanks so much, your continued support in any amount is very welcome and deeply appreciated! You can use this page:
