Amateur Contact Log 7.0.12 and New Versions of All Contest Software Now Available!
Hi All,
Chris, Kimberly and I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas, New Year and holiday season!
We want to thank you and express how grateful we are for you continued enthusiasm and support for our software. We deeply appreciate it!
We have some announcements to share!
Amateur Contact Log 7.0.12 and New Versions of All Contest Programs are Now Available!
Upgrades to All Programs:
- Ability to send keyboard CW with RI: commands (using rig interface for rigs that support it) (Settings > Transmit > CW).
- Ability to send two commands automatically on DX Spotting telnet connection to support telnet hosts requiring passwords.
- Ability to pause DX Spots list scrolling (Ctrl + U).
- Ability to block 8 meters in DX Spots filtering (More Filtering from DX Spotting setup form).
- Rig interface returns DATA for Elecraft MD6 mode.
- API - OTHERFIELDTITLESRESPONSE corrected formatting and sent when user leaves Other Fields setup form.
Upgrades specific to AC Log:
- User defined Other field ADIF tags are included in eLogs uploads.
- Frequency added in LoTW downloads if not present.
Upgrades Specific to Contest Software:
- View > Statistics now includes a summary of run activity under band totals.
- View > Statistics now includes a list of most worked calls.
Here is an example of my runs during last fall's CQ World Wide SSB that our software now provides:

The times I was able to get runs going and when I wasn't, as well as the degree to which I neglected other bands besides 10 meters are obvious, which are great points of reference for the future.
During contests I enjoy trying to "sweep" as many stations as possible on all 6 contest bands, so I added a report showing the calls most worked and next most worked at the end of the statistics display:

As always, upgrades are free to registered users. If you are currently running a version of our software released after January 2021, AC Log and the contest software should detect the new upgrade and offer to retrieve it for you on start. If you have any problem with the automatic upgrade, or you are running an older version, you can follow these AC Log upgrade steps and these contest software upgrade steps.
Reminder - January is Winter Field Day, not ARRL Field Day!
Every January, when Winter Field Day starts, we always receive e-mail from folks who are confused, trying to use ARRL Field Day software for Winter Field Day. They are two different exchanges, so the programs aren't interchangeable. Please be sure to use the Winter Field Day software for the upcoming event! You will find our Winter Field Day software here.
If you've registered the package and can't find Winter Field Day on your password list, you can request an updated list here.
And remember, you can always follow along with how everyone is doing during the contest on HamDash here.
And in response to the questions we always receive when we neglect to include the following in our e-mail announcements...
Package Upgrade Information...
If you have registered one or more individual programs and would like to upgrade to N3FJP's Software Package or N3FJP's Software Package and CD for full use of all our Amateur Radio software, we would be glad to apply the amount that you have registered so far as a credit towards that purchase. Please send us an e-mail directly and we'll let you know your balance.
N3FJP's Software Package includes more than one hundred programs for contesting, net management and general logging Amateur Radio applications, as well as our HamDash, WX Warn weather, Amateur Exam Study Buddy and MeshSense applications! In addition to full use of all these programs, registered package customers are also entitled to receive free passwords for any new software that is added to the package and free upgrades to existing programs. You'll find all the details on the Register Now page at www.n3fjp.com.
Donations are Gratefully Accepted!
And in response to the often asked question for which Kimberly, Chris and I are very grateful...
"I know your upgrades are free, but I also realize how much time and effort support, coding these enhancements and new programs take and that your pricing policy doesn't fully reflect that. Can I send you something to show my appreciation for your continued efforts?"
Yes, thanks so much, your continued support in any amount is very welcome and deeply appreciated! You can use this page:

As always, thanks for your kind words, support, linking to our web site and spreading the word about our software. Kimberly, Chris and I really appreciate it!
