ARRL RTTY Roundup Software Should Work for FT8 Roundup This Weekend!
Hi All,
I've been receiving lots of questions on whether my ARRL RTTY Contest Log will support this weekend's new FT8 Roundup contest, so I took a quick look at the rules. The FT8 Roundup contest appears to include the same bands, scoring, multipliers and QSO points as the ARRL RTTY Roundup software, so ARRL RTTY Contest Log should work for the FT8 contest this weekend!
The complete rules are here.
And my ARRL RTTY Roundup Contest software is here.
In addition to AC Log, JTAlert will also connect WSJT with my contesting software too. Just be aware that JTAlert is set up to default to AC Log, so if you just use the JTAlert defaults, JTAlert will not be able to verify that the QSO was added and present a warning. To remedy that, Laurie, VK3AMA (the JTAlert author) writes:
JTAlert setup for AC Log is designed to require no setup by the user (except for enabling AC Log logging) with JTAlert automatically determining the correct API port and log file location by reading the ACLog config file. This automatic setup can be bypassed, allowing for manual selection of a non-AC Log log file by setting the Remote Network PC option in the JTAlert settings. This will allow JTAlert to verify QSOs and perform accurate B4 checks against the non-AC Log log file.
Details on connecting my software with WSJT via JTAlert are here.
Enjoy!

And in response to the often asked question for which Kimberly and I are very grateful...
"I know your upgrades are free, but I also realize how much time and effort coding these enhancements and new programs take and that your pricing policy doesn't fully reflect that. Can I send you something to show my appreciation for your continued efforts?"
Yes, thanks so much, your continued support in any amount is very welcome and deeply appreciated! You can use this page:
