Support for ICWC MST, New Contest Program Upgrades and More!

Home News

Hi All,

Chris, Kimberly and I are excited to let you know that we have some new upgrades and enhancements for you including...

Support for ICWC Medium Speed Test is Now In CW Open 2.2.3!

The weekly ICWC Medium Speed Test has the same scoring rules and exchange elements as CW Open, with the only difference being the order of the exchange. We've added an option on the setup form so that when you select MST, the exchange fields on the main form will reorder appropriately to support the Medium Speed Test.

As always, upgrades are free to registered users! You will find CW Open 2.2.3, with MST support here.

Upgrades to New Contest Programs Complete!

Back in May, we let you know that we had already released a couple programs with several new features and were working through the rest of our 120+ program package over the course of this summer. We've now completed that project and the latest versions are on the web site! The new features include:

- Added Super Check Partial upload to all contest software (Settings > Super Check Partial)
- Added ability to send CW via rig interface with ASCII to hex character conversion using {} to encase converted text
- Added option for CW cut numbers A = 1, N = 9, T = 0
- Added ADDADIFRECORD command for API
- Added Clear on QSY (Tune Away)
- CTRL+Shift+J Overrides List option buttons of Last 20 or All (for blind hams, contesting programs only)
- Corrected map pin location for country environment locations using comma instead of decimal point

Other Updates

- NAQP 5.3.3, which supports K1USN SST modified to accept CWA for CW Ops students

- Washington Salmon Run 4.3.3 updated for elimination of Digital modes, elimination of 2M and limiting DX mults to 10.

Upgrade Steps

As always, upgrades are free to registered users. If you are currently running a version of our software released after January 2021, it should detect the new upgrade and offer to retrieve it for you on start. If you have any problem with the automatic upgrade, or you are running an older version, you can uninstall the previous version from Windows Control Panel and then install the current version from our web site.

Reminder - ARRL Rookie Roundup RTTY is Sunday!

Our ARRL Rookie Roundup software is completely free, so please encourage the new hams in your club to give it a try this weekend in ARRL Rookie Roundup RTTY! Veteran or rookie, please be sure to get on the air and give the rookies your QSOs this Sunday! You will find our ARRL Rookie Roundup software here.

Password Recovery

Whether you've misplaced your passwords or need an updated password list to include the newest programs that we've added to the package this year, you can recover your password list anytime here.

And in response to the questions we always receive when we neglect to include the following in our e-mail announcements...

Package Upgrade Information...

If you have registered one or more individual programs and would like to upgrade to N3FJP's Software Package or N3FJP's Software Package and CD for full use of all our Amateur Radio software, we would be glad to apply the amount that you have registered so far as a credit towards that purchase. Please send us an e-mail directly and we'll let you know your balance.

N3FJP's Software Package includes more than one hundred programs for contesting, net management and general logging Amateur Radio applications, as well as our WX Warn weather software! In addition to full use of all these programs, registered package customers are also entitled to receive free passwords for any new software that is added to the package and free upgrades to existing programs. You'll find all the details on the Register Now page at www.n3fjp.com.

Donations are Gratefully Accepted!

And in response to the often asked question for which Kimberly, Chris and I are very grateful...

"I know your upgrades are free, but I also realize how much time and effort support, coding these enhancements and new programs take and that your pricing policy doesn't fully reflect that. Can I send you something to show my appreciation for your continued efforts?"

Yes, thanks so much, your continued support in any amount is very welcome and deeply appreciated! You can use this page:

As always, thanks for your kind words, support, linking to our web site and spreading the word about our software. Kimberly, Chris and I really appreciate it!
