To disable Hamcall Buckmaster Database CD lookup, just click CallBook > Hamcall > Buckmaster Database CD again from the menu options.

CallBook > AC Log Calldata (free)

The AC Log Calldata feature uses data freely provided by the FCC in the USA and the RAC in Canada for basic lookup information for these two countries.

Here at N3FJP headquarters, we retrieve, process and update this data every six months so you can download the most recent data biannually in January and July. This data does not include the latitude and longitude for specific stations so bearing and distance will not precisely update.

There is no charge for the AC Log Calldata option. For more complete data sources, please try the premium Hamcall and QRZ options described above.

To use this feature, select CallBook > AC Log Calldata from the menu options, and you will see the form in the graphic below. First, click the button to download the 41 data files (which we update approximately every six months). This download is approximately 80 meg so be prepared for an extended download! You can check here to determine the date the files were last updated: http://www.n3fjp.com/calldata.html.

After enabling this feature, when you tab from the call field after typing a call sign, the lookup will execute and pertinent data will fill the other fields.

CallBook > Place Retrieved Address in Comments Field

The graphic below displays the CallBook menu option listing. If you would like the address to be placed in the Comments field when the lookup is performed, check this menu option. Since Edit > Fill Fields Determined by Call may be run repeatedly, addresses will only be added to the Comments field if the Comments field is blank and CallBook > Place Retrieved Address in Comments Field is checked.

Please note that when printing addresses, the address is pulled directly from the CallBook lookup data source you have enabled, not from the comments field in the QSO record.
